Size Comparison 13 Sept 2023

Above is a full scale map of Qeynos Hills from the game Everquest with my similar map on overlayed in the bottom right corner. I created this so I could run around and get a feel for the size. This is one of my bigger sets at around 200 meters accross. one Benefit of "Sets" over large zones is we can afford to use the very best assets at the highest resolution without LOD levels or the other smoke and mirror techniques.

This is a ground level view of that same Set, Having run around it many times I feel it is big enough. Typically this would be a resource gathering set where players can chop wood, hunt a deer, mine some ore for crafting.

The Inn at the crossroads

This would be the hub of the set where the main action takes place, what I like to call a congrigation point. The shop will provide goods for sale and a warm fire, outside stables crafting stations perhaps a saw mill.
